Restylane®
Restylane® offers a natural beauty-lift using the body's own material to correct wrinkles and folds, to shape facial contours, and to augment the lips. Restylane® is a crystal-clear, biodegradable gel made of non-animal-based, stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that exists naturally in the body and is used to provide volume and fullness to the skin. When injected into the skin in tiny amounts, Restylane® produces an instantaneous and long-lasting natural enhancement that is both gentle and safe to the skin.
The injected gel immediately gives natural volume to wrinkles, which are lifted up and smoothed out. Restylane® can also produce a more pronounced mouth or a soft, pouting look through injections into the upper and/or lower lip. An extremely thin fine-gauge needle is used to reduce discomfort, but the patient may also request an anesthetic block. Most procedures require only a single treatment, which may or may not be followed by one or more visits for touch-ups. Additional visits may be necessary to achieve the patient's goals.
